Choir's repertoire consists of oratorios from different historical periods, baroque works in concertato style and traditional a capella pieces. CANTUS POLONICUS not only executes its own concert projects but eagerly cooperates with guest conductors, symphony or chamber orchestras and ensembles playing on historical instruments. CANTUS POLONICUS professionally prepares ordered projects.

CANTUS POLONICUS was created as a result of long-standing cooperation between CANTORES VIRIDIMONTANI and HARMONOLOGIA. CANTUS POLONICUS is an interregional ensemble, whose members come from Zielona Gora, Krakow, Wroclaw and Jelenia Gora. The majority of them live in Zielona Gora where the rehearsals take place.

CANTUS POLONICUS cooperated with guest conductors, such as: Roland Wilson, Yves Bilger, Matteo Messori; and following ensembles: His Majesty's Sagbutts & Cornetts, Musica Fiata, Nachtmusique, Harmonologia. We took part in festivals: Bach Festival in Schweidnitz, the Festival „Song of our Roots“ in Jaroslaw, Wratislavia Cantans; and various concert cycles.

JAN TOMASZ ADAMUS - the artistic director of the choir. Student of Joachim Grubich at the Cracow Music Academy and of Hans van Nieuwkoop at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam. He is a laureate of the International Organ Competition in Arnstadt and performs in Poland and abroad giving organ recitals and chamber concerts. He is often invited by festivals and ensambles to conduct performances of vocal and instrumental music of different periods.
